Upgrading Streaming Infrastructure
Maintenance for Tuesday 11th Jan is now complete.
Wednesday maintenance will begin at 10am GMT. No downtime is expected.
The scheduled maintenance is now underway. We'll keep you updated on our progress.
To improve service we are upgrading some parts of our streaming infrastructure. We are taking a modular approach to this so the work will span multiple days.
We do not expect any degraded performance or downtime for listeners.
What are we doing?
Each day we will be withdrawing some streaming nodes from our network. These will be strategically chosen to ensure even worldwide coverage on active nodes. 24 hours later we will be migrating the withdrawn nodes to modern virtual machine services. These provide more power and reliability.
Once tested these nodes will be re-introduced to the streaming network then we will start the process again until all nodes are updated.
We expect the works to be complete by Friday January 14th.
